On the outskirts of Leisnig, in northern central Saxony, you can relax in a small green oasis from everyday stress. Natural enclosures, lovingly designed facilities, well-cared for animals and a somewhat different concept quickly convey the concern of Tautendorf Zoo - people and animals should feel comfortable. In a time of superlatives, of strife and against each other, not with each other, we at Tiergarten Tautendorf eV are trying to set an example. We want people to find each other again, stand up for each other and treat nature with respect! Therefore you will not find any animals with us where additional heated systems are required for their species-appropriate keeping. Also, no feed is flown in from the other end of the world to feed any exotic animals. The feed for our animals comes from the farmer around the corner. The clocks run a little differently here. In what is probably the smallest and greenest zoo in East Germany.
